Automobiles in Germany's City Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Police
Police stated they were alerted by a resident who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, building surfaces and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Police state they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials say initial examinations suggest the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they commented.

Local authorities said they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the public for tips.

A senior political figure stated the incident rendered him without words and had to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a assailant aiming at individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
