The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
